Attention parents/guardians of elementary and middle school students: We need your feedback! You will be asked to take an online survey during conferences for each school that your child attends. The purpose of the survey is to provide your school with input to help improve learning. If you would rather take the survey at home than during conferences, please click here to visit your school's Web site to find the survey for your school. Parents of high school students will be surveyed later in the school year.School Board Honored as Tech-Savvy for Public's Digital Access

Turkey Trot: Shuksan Middle School students celebrate after the 50th annual Turkey Trot, a nearly mile-long run around the school. In 1956, seven kids participated compared to the entire school in 2006. Students train in physical education/health courses. The top female and male winners from each grade (pictured) received a donated turkey: Sixth graders Sidney Tellefsen and Dylan Dubuque, seventh graders Keilani Buswell and Ryan Smith, and eighth graders Jessica Wallace, Maddie Ottley (tied) and Josh Wolderich. Also pictured is Shuksan alumnus Terry Smith, the first Turkey Trot winner in 1956, and former Shuksan physical education staff members Larry and Phyllis Keihn, who started the race.
