Any parent/ legal guardian, teacher or student may nominate a student for the Bellingham School District's Highly Capable Learners' Program. To learn more about this program and access a nomination form, click here.
Nomination forms for the spring Highly Capable Learners' Program screening assessment are due by April 30. The person doing the nominating is responsible for parent/legal guardian and school signatures on the nomination form. Because the form requires these signatures, it cannot be submitted electronically. Completed forms with a copy of the student's first semester report card need to be mailed or dropped off to Federal and Special Programs, 1306 Dupont St., Bellingham, WA 98225.
The spring screening process includes the reading comprehension and math portions of the Iowa Test of Basic Skills during the week of May 19.
