Open House for New Happy Valley Families Next Thursday we will be hosting a "Welcome to Happy Valley" Open House for new families. Our plan is to provide an opportunity for parents and children new to Happy Valley to tour the school and playground. Thanks to PTA for providing refreshments for this event. Post cards are being sent to new families to inform them of the activity. Wade King Information Meeting An additional parent information meeting has been scheduled for families who will be attending Wade King Elementary. This is intended for parents/guardians who may have missed the information meetings in March. At this meeting, principal Rob McElroy will update parents on the design and construction schedule for the facility. He will also share his vision for the school and discuss next steps in transitioning students to King Elementary this fall. The meeting for parents/guardians will be on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the Happy Valley library. End of the Year Celebration June 2nd will be our annual all school BBQ, held during the childrens' lunchtimes. A schedule will be announced later. We will be celebrating the end of another great year and wishing those families well who are moving on to other schools. The cost for Adults is $3.50 and children $2.50. Students may use their lunch accounts, but other family members must be paid for separately. We are hoping for great weather but the covered play area and cafeteria are alternate locations. Bring a blanket to sit on.
