The Bellingham School District will count children who ride our school buses during the week of Oct. 6-10. The transportation funding that we receive from Washington state for the entire school year is determined by the number of students who ride the bus to school for a minimum of three mornings (or mid-day to kindergarten) during this designated week.
The state does not provide funding based on afternoon ridership. This funding is essential to help pay for your child's transportation to and from school throughout the school year. Thank you for your support.
