All Bellingham schools are operating on an early release schedule for Friday, April 3. The schedule is:

  • Elementary, 12:30 p.m. dismissal
  • Middle, 11:30 a.m. dismissal
  • High school, 10:30 a.m. dismissal
  • Options/GRADS, 12:30 p.m. dismissal

Afternoon kindergarten attends school on April 3 in the morning from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. To view the 2008-09 kindergarten calendar, click here.

Elementary, middle and high school staff members use the time on early release days for professional development to improve student learning.

There is no school during spring break from April 6-10. Classes resume Monday, April 13 on a regular schedule for elementary and middle schools with Washington Assessment of Student Learning (WASL) testing; high schools will be on a WASL schedule.

Elementary and middle schools, Squalicum High, Options High, Community Transitions and the GRADS program front offices will be closed to the public for spring break from April 6-10. 
Bellingham High School's office will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. April  6,and closed April 7-10.  Sehome's office will be open to the public from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. April 6-9, and closed Friday, April 10.

District offices will be open to the public from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. April 6-9 and closed on Friday, April 10.
