Reminder: Wednesday, Dec. 9, 6:30- Family Literacy Event, Join us as we celebrate winter with snow crafts, snow poetry, snow stories, and snacks. Bundle up and bring the whole family! Brrr: As the temperature drops, please make sure you send your child to school bundled up with a good winter coat, gloves and a hat. We are still having recess outside whenever possible! Many Thanks to our Community Sponsors: The Whatcom Education Credit Union donated $1000 to the Alderwood Library as part of their community donation program. We have used this money to purchase high-interest non-fiction books that will have special appeal to students who are not yet reading at grade level, but will also appeal to all of our readers. WE have books on snowboarding, hydroplanes, U.S. military branches, Indy cars and many more. Come by our library and see our new books! Also, thank you to , Dale Schrader, who owns Subway restaurants in Ferndale and Blaine. He has very generously offered to sponsor a one-year’s subscription to Bookflix for Alderwood Elementary, a generous gift worth $1000!
