Do you know a staff member or volunteer in Bellingham Public Schools or Central Services (including maintenance and transportation) to nominate for an Annual Award by noon, Feb. 5? Annual Award recipients represent the district and their schools, and allow us to demonstrate appreciation for the many important contributions of volunteers and staff.

Anyone may nominate. From those nominations, each school and Central Services may select one recipient in each category: Certificated Staff Member of the Year, Classified Staff Member of Year, Volunteer/Community Partner of the Year or staff Team of the Year. These recipients from schools and Central Services will then be considered for one Districtwide Annual Award in each of these categories. Nominations for Leader/Administrator of the Year may be submitted directly to the Superintendent's office.

For information/criteria, a nomination form, sample nominations from last year's recipients and more, please visit: http://www.bham.wednet.edu/staff/RecognitionStandingCommittee.htm

Completed nomination forms for employees or volunteers that work in schools should go to the school's principal and nominations for employees that work in Central Services (including maintenance and transportation), as well as any Leadership/Administrator nomination, should go to the Superintendent's office. All nominations are due no later than noon, Feb. 5.

The School Board of Directors and Superintendent recognize that having opportunities to foster positive relationships among students, staff and community members is fundamental for our work to prepare all students for college, career and citizenship. The Board-appointed District Recognition Committee works on the selection of the Districtwide Annual Award recipients.
