FMS PTSA is pleased to announce that Gennie Clawson and Tracy Diehl will serve as our Nominating Committee for next year's Board. They are seeking candidates for Co-President (2), Vice-President (Fundraising), Secretary, and Co-Treasurer (1).
Why You?
Serving on the board of the PTSA really is a chance to affect your child's school experience, to gain a greater understanding of the complexities of our education system, and to build stronger relationships with staff, teachers, and other parents.
Why Now?
• We have exciting new programs to grow and nurture, like the Farm-to-School and an on-site orchard, and existing programs (Snow Goose, family socials, yearbooks, teacher grants, etc.) to sustain.
• The integration of Whatcom & Fairhaven staff and families next year represents a great opportunity to share experience, best practices and to learn from one another. We want participation from both communities!
• Potential budget cuts will affect us all, placing additional strain on resources and additional demands to ensure we position support where it is most needed.
