 Communication is an important element of the family-school partnership, and I enjoy writing the weekly newsletter. Additionally, school funds continue to decrease, and the weekly newsletter costs about 5% of the Larrabee yearly budget. Therefore, in an effort to save natural resources and cut costs, I have decided to change the method in which we distribute the weekly newsletter. My hope is that as many families as possible will participate in our district’s E-news program. You can sign up at: http://www.bsd501.org/external/index.cfm?cid=420&fuseaction=inquiry.joinmailinglist .
By participating in E-News you will receive the Larrabee Newsletter, Emergency/Snow information, News/Important Dates, and Event Information at the email(s) of your choice. We will also post this information on the Larrabee website located at http://larrabee.bellinghamschools.org/ .
For those families who prefer a hard copy of the newsletter, you can continue to receive it each Friday by contacting Anne Flinn in the Larrabee office by next Friday, March 12. We will also post a hard copy of the newsletter in the office.
I appreciate your active involvement in your child’s education and look forward to working with you to keep communication open between school and home.

Science Fair
We are still looking for day time volunteers for the Science Fair. If you can help with this, we could sure use it! Can’t volunteer during the day? We can still use help during the evening event. The date is March 11th. Please contact Rainy at 671-0379.
