The Bellingham School District will offer a summer school program for high school students who need to make up credits and for pre-qualifying students from Alderwood, Birchwood, Roosevelt and Sunnyland elementary schools.

Title I Elementary Summer School

Students who will be in grades 1-5 this fall and are currently attending Alderwood, Birchwood, Roosevelt and Sunnyland elementary schools, have been assessed and identified for summer school eligibility. Students identified to attend summer school will continue to work with staff to meet grade level goals in reading and math.  Selected students have received information and registration materials from their schools. There is no fee to attend because the program is federally funded by Title I. The session will begin July 6 and run several weeks during the summer from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Alderwood (students from both Alderwood and Birchwood will attend at Alderwood), Roosevelt and Sunnyland. There will be limited bus transportation and meal options.
