Community Flyers Larrabee staff and students would like to reduce the amount of paper use and waste generated by having just a few community flyers available in the school office for interested families instead of sending them home every week with students. We will be posting a list of flyers that will be available in the Larrabee Newsletter each week. Thursday, I had the privilege of celebrating Superintendent Sherrie Brown’s retirement with my colleagues from across the district. My relationship with Sherrie goes back about eight years when she was my oldest son’s principal at Kulshan Middle School. Between then and now she has been Bellingham’s Curriculum Director, an Executive Director of Schools, and Deputy Superintendent. As an educator she has faced some of the most significant challenges our community has experienced. From school fires to economic crisis, Sherrie Brown, has met these challenges with straight forward logical thinking and empathy.
