  Geneva Elementary School, Fairhaven and Shuksan middle schools will host open houses for Whatcom Middle School students and their families in mid-February.

  The Bellingham School District Board of Directors unanimously adopted the recommended relocation plan at the Jan. 28 meeting for Whatcom Middle School students, following a thorough process of public input and researching the best possible options for student learning.

  Recommendation for Whatcom Relocation: Grade 6 Attends Geneva, Grades 7-8 Attend Middle School
  Following a public input process and thorough analysis of numerous options for relocating Whatcom Middle School students, the recommended solution is that students entering grade six next school year attend Geneva Elementary School and students entering grades seven and eight attend Shuksan and Fairhaven middle schools respectively.
