  • Student, Parent Input on Web Site Needed
    The Bellingham School District is in the process of redesigning its Web site with user-friendly features and content for students, families and community members.


  • Apply By Noon, Sept. 28 for District Recognition Committee
    The Bellingham School District's Recognition Committee has open positions for a high school junior, parent/community member, elementary school certificated staff member and high school administrator. Interested individuals are encouraged to apply by noon on Monday, Sept. 28.


  • First Day of School Is Tuesday, Sept. 8
    All Bellingham schools and the district office will be closed for Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 7. The first day of class for students is Tuesday, Sept. 8.

  • Summer Hours and School Registration for Fall
    Throughout the summer, families of elementary and middle school students may pick up fall registration forms for new students at Central Services, 1306 Dupont St.

    Bellingham School District staff continue to work on the draft budget in preparation for the School Board to take action on the final budget at the June 25 meeting.


  • Reminder: Last Day of School Is June 18
    The last day of school for the 2008-09 school year is June 18. All schools are operating on an early release schedule.


  • Summer WASL Retake Registration Open from June 8-26
    Registration for the August 2009 retake of the high school Washington Assessment of Student Learning (WASL) is open from June 8–26. This administration is for students in grades 10–12 who have not yet taken the WASL, or have not passed the math, reading and/or writing section(s) to meet graduation requirements. Testing dates are August 10–13.
